]]> To celebrate International Bat Day and the end of Forth Valley’s Biodiversity Festival, join us on a guided bat walk in Fintry on Saturday 29th August!

We have two bat experts leading us with detectors and thermal kit to teach us all about the wonderful world of these nightime creatures! Not to be missed!

]]> As part of our activities for FEL Scotland’s Forth Valley Biodiversity Festival, we are proud to host an evening of beautiful wildlife photography.

Join us for an evening with Scottish wildlife photographer Michael Cook of WildScot Photography.

Thursday 20th August, 7pm arrival for a 7.30pm start, Fintry Museum. Free to attend (donations to Fintry Museum are welcomed).

Michael has spent more than 25 years photographing wildlife and has travelled widely in search of nature, but Scotland remains his favourite place to explore with a camera. He was a finalist in last year’s British Wildlife Photography Award. After a career leading environmental organisations, he now works full time as a wildlife photographer and guide, helping people discover and photograph Scotland’s birds and mammals.

In this illustrated talk, Michael will share some of his favourite images and the stories behind them, along with practical insights into Scotland’s wildlife, where to find it, and the techniques and patience involved in photographing it. Whether you’re interested in wildlife, photography, or simply enjoy Scotland’s natural environment, this promises to be an informative and enjoyable evening.

]]> Recyke-a-Bike are back with their fantastic Dr Bike service at Fintry Sports Club on Tuesday 14th July, 10am – 2pm (beside the bike maintenance stand). Please do bring your bikes along for minor repairs, safety checks and tune-ups.

Dr Bike will also accept donations of bikes or bike parts. These go back to Recyke-a-Bike, and with a bit of mechanical magic, are refurbished (where possible) and sold to raise funds for the organisation.

Get the date in the diary and get your bikes ready for summer holiday rides!
