This August, Forth Environment Link are hosting the first Forth Valley Biodiversity Festival, celebrating nature and biodiversity projects across the region Forth Valley Biodiversity Festival – August 2026 – FEL Scotland
Here in Fintry, FDT will celebrate Fintry’s biodiversity in a number of ways. We will launch our ‘citizen science’ nature survey next week (keep your eyes peeled for this!) and have one or two more events up our sleeves.
We hope you will join us in appreciating and celebrating Fintry’s rich biodiversity.
The Festival arrives at a time when the news about our climate and planet seems bleak. Our intention over August is to bring you the GOOD news about our climate and demonstrate ways we can all make a difference, right here on our doorstep.
As Jane Goodall wrote:
“I like to envision the whole world as a jigsaw puzzle… If you look at the whole picture, it is overwhelming and terrifying, but if you work on your little part of the jigsaw and know that people all over the world are working on their little bits, that’s what will give you hope.”
Throughout the month we will post other pieces of the jigsaw puzzle, where positive action and environmental improvements are making a difference.
