FDT actively support and encourage sustainable transport and cycling is one of the simplest and most accessible choices within Fintry.

Fintry has no public transport, so cars and bikes are very much needed.

The UCI cycling world championships passed through Fintry in 2023, which led to great enthusiasm around cycling. To match this interest, FDT installed a cycle maintenance unit at Fintry Sports Club, this enables cyclists to undertake basic maintenance on their bikes.

The unveiling of the cycle maintenance unit included the senior pupils of Fintry Primary School who use their bikes to travel to school.

The unit can be used for pram and wheelchair maintenance too and is serviced by Recyke-a-Bike three times a year.
