Fintry Development Trust partnered with Thermal Imaging UK to carry out an external thermal image survey of all properties in Fintry who signed up to the project.

The conditions needed to be just right for the clearest images – no wind or rain and below 10º. The project was carried out over the winter months.

Each household received a report containing several notated external images of their home and an opportunity to book an online review of the report with the surveyors.

The project was able to highlight where new doors or windows would benefit the property or where top up insulation was advised. Heat loss points were shown, and homeowners could decide what remedial measures were required. Our Energy Efficiency Grant could then be applied for by homeowners to undertake some or all of the suggested measures.
