FDT has developed grant programs which aim to support and meet the Trusts’ aims and objectives of reducing carbon and energy use.
The grants, while helping residents meet the costs of improving the energy efficiency and comfort of their homes also have their core roots in improving the village’s sustainability.
While we all still face the effects of the ongoing fuel and cost of living crisis, FDT supports the community with a selection of grants which target key areas.
The funds for the grants come entirely from the income generated from our share in the Earlsburn Windfarm.

We have reached the end of the current FDT Grants Round.
The Board will now review the grants and consider budgets to decide which grants will be offered going forwards, and what their criteria and value will be. We anticipate that the next round of grants will begin on 1st May 2026.
