This grant serves to alleviate rising energy costs during the ongoing cost of living crisis for lower income households in the Fintry council area.
The FDT Board have taken the decision not to continue with the Fuel Payment Grant beyond 31st March 2026. This will be the last winter it will be offered.
The grant was originally set up in response to the fuel and cost of living crisis, and is a departure from the main aims of the Trust. As the government will once again provide support to certain households, FDT will re-focus efforts on sustainability, energy efficiency and green energy. We are working closely with Energy Action Scotland to ensure that the households in Fintry who have received the Fuel Payment Grant, gain access to all the relevant help and support offered in Scotland to tackle fuel poverty. We will continue in our efforts to assist Fintry homeowners to make their homes as energy efficient as possible to further reduce fuel bills.
For this, last round, of the Fuel Payment Grant, ALL previous applicants must RE-APPLY. Application forms will be available from mid-October.
