FDT offers grant programs to help residents improve energy efficiency and comfort in their homes while supporting the Trust’s goal of reducing carbon and promoting sustainability.

Smart Fintry

The project aimed to balance local energy generation with consumption and provide a unique green energy tariff to residents

CHDP

The consultancy Reheat will investigate developing a collective purchase program of renewable heating systems for householders in Fintry

Balgair

This project fits well with the trust’s aims of reducing carbon emissions and providing householders with reliable heat and hot water.

Thermal Imaging

Fintry Development Trust partnered with Thermal Imaging UK to carry out an external thermal image survey of all properties in Fintry who signed up to the project.

Strathclyde University

FDT have enjoyed an ongoing relationship with Strathclyde University Energy Systems Research Unit & Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.

Party Pack

The Party Pack project offers a full kit for any local party or event and includes reusable wheat straw tableware, colourful pre-loved decorations and all the extras any party planner would need!

New Website

While our old website had served us well, the Trust agreed it was time to rebuild and expand with a new website which reflected the next chapter of FDT’s journey.

IT Recycling

The Trust encourages re-use whenever possible but in the world of IT after a few years of use many items become obsolete and can no longer be used.

Financial Governance

The Trust has engaged a financial consultant and is researching the options of ethical and sustainable investment to meet the requirements of our membership.
